Yoga means to yoke, to become one through mind, body, spirit. A sacred practise passed down through the great sages and yogis of India - all with the purpose to meet in a place of stillness and peace. A practise that allows one to connect deeper to oneself through breath, movement and meditation.
I’m grateful to share a range of styles from Vinyasa as a powerful dynamic flow, Hatha a more traditional style holding poses to sharpen focus & connection to self. As well as gentler practises of Restorative yoga where we work more closely with breath, stillness and relaxation, and Yin where ancient china and India meet working with the meridians, fascia and muscle release through longer holds in poses allowing tissues to let go and help release blocks in order to get a clean and clear energy flow through the body and mind.

Reiki
Reiki is another term for life force energy - in Traditional Chinese medicine it’s known as Qi or Chi, in Yoga it’s known as Prana. I practise from the Usui tradition from founder Mikao Usui who discovered this alternative therapy in the 1920’s used to heal mental, emotional and physical ailments.
As we are working on the energy body this is usually not a hands on treatment, rather one where I act as a channel for universal life force to work through me to help clear and heal blocks that differ between individuals. This is done laying in a safe, comfortable environment where I bring you into a relaxed state through mindfulness, aromatherapy and sound, I then go to work on your energy field and we close by debriefing and grounding.
Pilates (1:1 coming soon)
Classes available
Pilates has a large focus on pelvic floor, deep core activation, alignment and breath which makes it accessible to most people especially injured and elderly. People see amazing results in mind and body through Pilates. It’s a fantastic accompaniment to yoga in the sense it helps with stability and strength for the flexibility we create through a yoga practise.
Pilates as taught by Joseph Pilates who developed this form of training in the early 20th century in Germany during WWI where his goal was to strengthen the human mind and body, believing that mental and physical health were interconnected. He would use apparatus’ to help stretch and strengthen the human body which translates into the Reformer Pilates we see today, done entirely on this one machine comprising of springs, pulleys and a moving carriage where you can do hundreds of exercises and stretches.
